Tara Sheehan is a global healthcare executive with 20 years of experience driving commercialization, customer experience, regulatory strategy, and market expansion for Fortune 500 leaders in pharma and medical device spaces at Johnson & Johnson and Abbott. As CEO of DASH Neuroscience, she applies her breadth of expertise in commercial operations, customer service excellence, global regulatory submissions, and compliance to optimize our customers’ needs in regulated medical research.

During her tenure as Global Director of Customer Strategy at J&J Medical Devices, Tara led cross-functional teams of 60+ professionals overseeing worldwide customer strategy. Her team developed, branded, commercialized and trademarked customer experience service products under an umbrella brand and worked cross-functionally to R&D design to create best-in-class User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) for customers and sales.  This experience helped her develop a deep understanding of regulatory submissions for medical device products including PMA (Premarket Approval), 510(k) (Premarket Notification), CE Mark (Certification of Conformity to European Union requirements) and a proven track record of ensuring adherence to HIPPA, GDPR, GCP, ICH-GCP, and ISO 14155, among other medical device standards. Her work in commercial analytics and training directly supported and optimized salesforce efficiency and improved customer satisfaction. Tara is a graduate of Abbott’s Commercial Management Development Program (CMDP) and J&J’s Talent Acceleration Program (TAP). At Abbot she held positions in Global marketing, sales, Americas downstream marketing and Global Commercial Operations and Analytics.

Earlier in her career, Tara spent five years in Shanghai, China, advising multinational healthcare organizations on market access, brand strategy and regulatory pathways—leveraging her fluency in Mandarin to navigate complex cross-border research environments.

Tara holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where she focused on data-driven marketing and entrepreneurship, and a BA in Asian Studies from Bowdoin College. The daughter of renowned psychiatrist Dr. David V. Sheehan, she brings unique insight into clinical assessment tools and neuropsychiatric endpoint development. A US/EU dual citizen who has worked abroad, she has a global mindset.  Tara holds certifications in Mandarin Chinese from Tsinghua University (清华大学) and Middlebury Language Institute.
