The Homicidal Impulse Attack Scale (HIAS) is a very brief assessment of the components of a homicidal impulse attack. The HIAS may be helpful in measuring a homicidal patient’s response to acute treatment. It can also be used to track response to rapid onset of action anti-homicidality treatments. It is designed for use in clinical research studies and in clinical settings.
